Hajj and ʿUmrah (Pilgrimage) Rules
Hajj is among the most important matters of Islam. Performing Hajj and ʿUmrah once in a lifetime is obligatory upon the Muslim who is free, accountable, and able. Also note that it is obligatory upon individuals who fulfil certain conditions to pay Zakah of Fitr. Zakah of fitr is an obligation on every Muslim who is alive at the end of Ramadan and the beginning of Shawwâl. In other terms if someone is alive when the sun sets on the last day of Ramaḍān, that is until after the sun sets, then the zakah of fitr is due on this person.

Laws and Rules of inheritance in Islam
It is invalid to divide the inheritance of a deceased person or to sell the inheritance until the debts and the zakât which was obligatory on him have been fulfilled. Something may be sold to pay off a debt or fulfill the will. The expenses of performing Hajj and ʿUmrah on behalf of the deceased must be taken out if the Hajj and ʿUmrah were obligatory on him and he did not perform them. The inheritance is like a collateral held for that purpose.
