Determining Beginning Date of Ramadan 2025 / 1446H
The beginning of the month of Ramadan, as well as the end of the month, is determined by sighting the crescent. If the crescent was not sighted, then the month would be completed by thirty days, as is the case with determining all the months of the lunar calendar. This is taken from the Hadîth of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلّم related by Al-Bukhâriyy and Muslim: « لا تَقَدَّمُوا رَمَضانَ بِيَومٍ أَوْ يَومَين صُوموا لرؤيتِه وأفطِرُوا لرُؤيتِه فإنْ غُمَّ علَيكم فأكْمِلوا عِدَّةَ شَعبانَ ثلاثينَ يوما », which means: « Do not fast one or two days before Ramaḍān. Start the month when you see the crescent, and end it when you see the crescent. If you are blocked from seeing it, then complete thirty days of Shaʿbân. »

Acts and Benefits during Ramadan
Ramaḍân, the month of the Qur’ân, the month of repentance, the month when we renounce worldly pleasures and hold ourselves in check, the month when the soul is at peace, the month of Qur’ân recitation, of nightly worship and many good deeds. How to fast the month of Ramadan. Integrals & Invalidators of Fasting
The obligation on the believers of fasting Ramaḍân is known from the Qur’ân and the Hadîth. It was explicitly stated in Verse 183 of Surat Al-Baqarah: {يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا كُتِبَ عَلَيْكُمُ الصِّيَامُ كَمَا كُتِبَ عَلَى الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَّقُونَ} which means: « O believers, Fasting is an obligation upon you as it was ordained upon the (Muslim nations) before you–to help you become pious. » Fasting was an obligation upon the nations before the nation of Prophet Muḥammad peace to be upon him, however, fasting the month of Ramaḍân in particular is a specification for the nation of Prophet Muḥammad peace to be upon him only.

The Essentials Of Islamic Belief
Islam is the Religion of all the Prophets of Allâh starting with Adam and ending with Muḥammad. In Arabic Islam means submission. To believe in the heart and declare with the tongue: « No one is God except Allâh and Muḥammad is the Messenger of Allâh » is how one becomes Muslim. The beginning of the month of Ṣafar 1448 is on Thursday, July 16, 2026 According to ʿAbdu l-Lāh son of Hichām: The companions of the Messenger of Allāh learned this invocation that they said when a new year or a new month began: « اللَّهُمَّ أَدْخِلْهُ عَلَيْنَا بِالْأَمْنِ وَالْإِيمَانِ، وَالسَّلَامَةِ وَالْإِسْلَامِ، وَرِضْوَانٍ مِنَ الرَّحْمَنِ، وَجِوَارٍ (أيْ حِفْظٍ) مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ » Which means: « O Allāh, let his arrival be accompanied by safety and faith, protection and Islam, approval from Ar-Raḥmān, and preservation against the chayṭān ».

How Does One Become a Muslim ? Convert to Islam
One becomes a Muslim by believing in the Two Testifications of Faith and uttering them with the intention of leaving out blasphemy. The Two Testifications of Faith are: I testify that no one is God except God and I testify that Muḥammad is the prophet of God. If someone does not know how to say Muḥammad he can call the prophet by Abu l-Gaacim: no one is God except God and Abu l-Gaacim is the prophet of God.

Eid Al Aḍ-ḥā Eid al-kebir 2026 1447 H
The Aḍ-ḥā ʿId is one of the great days of the year on which the pilgrim fulfils the obligations of Hajj. It is also recommended for the pilgrim to offer a sacrifice on that day, with the intention to gain rewards from Allâh, the Exalted. This act is a regularly practised sunnah by the Prophet. Hence, the pilgrim and the non-pilgrim can practise this sunnah. This is evidenced in the ayah: فَصَلِّ لِرَبِّكَ وَانْحَرْ the meaning of which is: « Perform the ʿId Prayer and offer a sacrifice seeking reward from Allâh. »

Laylatu l-Qadr Night of Greatness Night of Destiny
The month of Ramadan, which is the best of the year, has the best night of the year: Al-Qadr night. It’s the best of the year, as the day of ʿArafah is the best of the year. Middle of Month of Shaʿbân. Night of 15 Shaban
The Prophet said: « إذا كانت ليلةُ النصفِ من شعبانَ فقوموا ليلَها وصُوموا نهارها » which means: « Spend the night preceding the 15th day of Shaʿbân in acts of obedience, and fast the next day. » The night of the middle-Shaban is a blessed night.
