Conditions for the Validity of Prayer

The conditions of prayer are the matters that are not part of the prayer, but must be satisfied before starting the prayer.

01 Ṣafar 1448 : Thursday 07/16/2026

The beginning of the month of Ṣafar 1448 is on Thursday, July 16, 2026 According to ʿAbdu l-Lāh son of Hichām: The companions of the Messenger of Allāh learned this invocation that they said when a new year or a new month began: « اللَّهُمَّ أَدْخِلْهُ عَلَيْنَا بِالْأَمْنِ وَالْإِيمَانِ، وَالسَّلَامَةِ وَالْإِسْلَامِ، وَرِضْوَانٍ مِنَ الرَّحْمَنِ، وَجِوَارٍ (أيْ حِفْظٍ) مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ » Which means: « O Allāh, let his arrival be accompanied by safety and faith, protection and Islam, approval from Ar-Raḥmān, and preservation against the chayṭān ».

The Pillars of Prayer and its conditions of validity

There are five prayers which must be performed by the Muslims and are called obligatory prayers. It is a great sin to neglect performing any of these obligatory prayers.

The Holy Books

All holy books taught that Islam is the only true religion. That means all Prophets and Messengers were Muslims, that is, they believed in one God, and that this God is the only true God and he only deserves to be worshipped. The laws in the Quraan differed from previous laws of other Prophets. But the religion is one, ISLAM.

The Two Testifications Shahadahs

Professing the Two Shahadahs: In regards to the blasphemer who wants to embrace Islam, the belief is not accepted without one uttering the Two Testifications (Shahadahs). In addition, the Muslim is obligated to recite the Two Testifications (Shahadahs) in every prayer for validity of that prayer. The Two Testifications are: I testify that no one is God except Allâh and I testify that Muḥammad is the Messenger of Allâh.

Eid Al-Fiṭr 2026 1447 and Zakat of Fiṭr

Also note that it is obligatory upon individuals who fulfil certain conditions to pay Zakah of Fitr. Zakah of fitr is an obligation on every Muslim who is alive at the end of Ramadan and the beginning of Shawwâl. In other terms if someone is alive when the sun sets on the last day of Ramaḍān, that is until after the sun sets, then the zakah of fitr is due on this person.

Eid Prayer and Recommended acts on the day of Eid ʿId 2026 1447

Eid prayer can be performed in congregation, or individually any time between sunrise and noon. The best time of the Eid prayer is after the sun has reached the height of a spear (approximately 20 minutes from sunrise).

Middle of Month of Shaʿbân. Night of 15 Shaban

The Prophet said: « إذا كانت ليلةُ النصفِ من شعبانَ فقوموا ليلَها وصُوموا نهارها » which means: « Spend the night preceding the 15th day of Shaʿbân in acts of obedience, and fast the next day. » The night of the middle-Shaban is a blessed night.

The Description of Prophet Muḥammad

The Prophet was not extremely tall, nor was he short. He had a white complexion and black hair. The Prophet’s hair was not straight rather it was slightly curly and long down to his shoulders. His smell was nicer than the pure musk itself. He had a clear forehead, long eyelashes, broad shoulders and a firm stomach. The Prophet was fast in his walk, and it was narrated that seeing his face one would think that the sun is rising from it.

The story includes lessons, signs, and evidences that all testify to the great Power of Allâh, taʿâlâ, and His Wisdom in managing His creations.

Adam the First Prophet and first Man

Adam is the first man and Prophet Messenger created by God. He was created from earth mixed with water, so he has no father or mother. He is the father of humanity. Allah has granted him a woman named Hawwa’(Eve). Both of them lived long in Paradise following the Laws of Islam and Allah brought them down to earth where they had many children.
